Attempts to salvage sunken generator continue

EFFORTS to salvage the remains of a 170-tonne wave energy generator which collapsed in rough seas at Port Kembla five weeks ago are continuing.
The MK3PC unit, located in an open water ocean environment, sank near Port Kembla’s eastern breakwall on May 14 after being ripped off its pylons by heavy seas causing it to drift about 100 metres from the installed location.
