E-freight upgrade critical for recovery, says IATA
The airfreight industry needs to embrace a paperless documentation system immediately if it wants a speedier recovery from the global economic downturn, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Cargo revenues in 2009 were 25% lower than the previous corresponding period, although the start of 2010 has seen a 28% upturn in volumes from a year earlier.
