Commission plunge hits Clarkson results
Smaller shipbroking commissions after the global shipping market crash cut revenues at London-listed Clarkson by nearly 30% in 2009 to £175.7m (US$264m).
Despite challenging trading conditions, Clarkson said it still gained market share and boosted the number of ships fixed across its divisions.
The broking division saw revenue drop 28% to £139.1m.
