Europe-Oceania recovery holds momentum

THERE has been a solid recovery in southbound container volumes into the Australia/Oceania region from Europe, but the region’s export volumes bucked an otherwise positive global growth trend.


European Liner Affairs Association (ELAA) figures released last week showed that 31,700 teu of dry and reefer varieties were shipped on the southbound trade in January – up 12.1% on January 2009 – though the figure is much lower...
