Time called on HV licensing
THE TRUCKING industry will face a skills shortage if Australia’s transport ministers fail to relax the existing licensing system, the Australian Trucking Association said.
At present, drivers must hold a car license for two years before applying for a heavy-rigid license and then wait another 12 months before they are eligible to apply for a semi-trailer license.
