Methyl bromide banned for quarantine, pre-shipment

A EUROPEAN Union ban on the use of methyl bromide as a pre-shipment and quarantine fumigant has come into force.


The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) said certificates for methyl bromide fumigations performed by EU countries after March 18 would not be accepted.
