Isle of Man register to introduce fees
THE ISLE of Man Ship Registry will introduce an annual registration fee in April for the first time in its 25-year history. Shipowners will pay a flat charge of £700 (US$1,080) per vessel, regardless of the ship size or type, the register said last week.
The flag will also offer substantial discounts for owners and operators that register multiple ships in the Isle of Man.
These discounts will be on a sliding scale, with owners or operators that register more than 50 vessels being offered...
