Port of Melbourne results show depth of progress

THE WINDS of change are blowing Melbourne’s way, with the effects of channel deepening and the end of the global financial crisis being felt.
In the three months from November 26 to February 25 at least one ship, every second day on average, used the increased draught depth, the Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC) said this week.
