Newcastle poised for new records

FUEL imports helped lift trade at the port of Newcastle by 5% in the first nine months of the 2009/10 financial year.
Throughput in the nine months ending March 31 rose to 76.6m tonnes from 72.7m tonnes in the same corresponding period, an increase of 3.9m tonnes, latest New South Wales Government figures showed.
