DRY BULK freight rates are on the move again despite an increase in China’s stockpiles of coal and iron ore.
Commodore Research’s weekly dry bulk update showed that average day rates for cape last week, sitting just below US$50,000.
Rates for panamax (US$34,901) and supramax (US$32,160) grew at half that speed while handysize bulkers were up 4% to US$21,524.
