Fletchers to close as rescue fails
TROUBLED transport and logistics firm Fletchers Freighters will reportedly be liquidated after restructuring and ownership options failed to materialise and its cash ran out.
The company’s 100 workers face redundancy.
The South Australian firm entered voluntary liquidation under McGrathNichol in March. The 52-year-old family-owned company had been a leading operator in Murray River perishables and general freight haulage from its headquarters in Berri.
