UN urged to get tough on piracy
THE UN General Assembly has called on the Security Council to take stronger measures to address the problem of piracy off the coast of Somalia.
Possible measures against maritime piracy and in particular pirate attacks originating in Somalia, were debated for the first time on Friday at an informal meeting of the full United Nations General Assembly in New York.
