Mishap generates Kembla dilemma

THE OWNERS of an energy generator which sank to the bottom of Port Kembla’s eastern breakwall is in the process of appointing a salvage company to retrieve the machine.

The generator, called MK3PC, was one of two on site operated by Oceanlinx to provide power to the port but was ripped off its pylons by heavy seas.
Subsequent efforts to tow the generator to safety last week were unsuccessful.
