Capesize rates leap in biggest gain in months

RATES for capesize bulk carriers shipping Brazilian iron ore to China recorded their largest gain in nine months with prices jumping US$11,000.
A lack of ships available to cover cargoes in the Atlantic gave owners the opportunity to push daily earnings up substantially to US$59,000 per day for trips out to the Asia.
