US box trades pin upturn hopes on the job market
CONTAINER shipping is on track to stage a strong recovery in the US trades this year, but the state of the American jobs market will dictate the final outcome.
That is the key message from Piers Global Intelligence Solutions, which expects US containerised imports to increase by 9.7% in 2010 after contracting by more than 15% last year.
