Brokers defend use of box freight derivatives contracts
TWO LEADING freight futures brokers have vigorously defended container freight derivatives against recent criticisms from several leading liner operators.
Alex Gray, chief executive of Clarksons’ futures broking business Clarkson Securities, told Lloyd’s List he is confident that container freight derivatives will prove successful for Clarksons and effective as a business tool for its customers.
