Low-sulphur alternatives lift risk of biofuel contamination
THE INCREASED use of low-sulphur fuels is raising the risk of biofuel contamination as refineries are unable to accurately separate production sources.
Global demand for low-sulphur fuel has increased as a result of the European Union port regulations and the recent arrival of the emission limits in the now enforceable annex VI of the marine pollution convention.
