Salvors press for green compensation

SHIPOWNERS are at loggerheads with the International Salvage Union (ISU) over proposals to amend the 1989 Salvage Convention.
Having failed to secure an industry consensus, the ISU is taking its arguments for change to a forthcoming meeting of the international maritime law organisation Comit Maritime International (CMI) being held in Buenos Aires.
