Indonesian port capacity holds back growth

Indonesia’s lack of port capacity is an impediment to growth, APM Terminals has warned, adding that five of the country’s top six container hubs are full.

Michael Lund Hansen, APMT’s regional director, told an economics conference in Jakarta that “Indonesia’s six main container ports reflect roughly 90% of the total Indonesian container volumes.
