Seven of Western Australia’s eight port authorities will be consolidated into four regional port authorities from 2014, the WA government announced yesterday.

Fremantle will remain a stand-alone port authority, while four other port authorities will be consolidated from the remaining ports.

Broome, Derby, Windham, Cockatoo Island, Koolan Island and the proposed port at James Price Point will be consolidated into the Kimberly Ports...
