Deutsche Schiffsbank to reduce shipping exposure

German shipping lender Deutsche Schiffsbank is to divide its clients into strategic and non-strategic customers and will conduct no further business with the non-strategic customers, the head of the bank, Stefan Otto, has confirmed.

“At the moment, we are looking very closely at each of our customers and have to decide with whom we want to intensify our relationship,” Mr Otto said.
