Larger ships underpin DP World volume growth
Deployment of bigger ships being on a number of trade lanes contributed to the 7.5% growth in volume of containers handled by DP World in the first half of the year.
The global ports operator moved a record 28.2m teu through its terminals, with a strong performance in the Asia Pacific and Indian subcontinent region offsetting sluggish conditions in much of Europe, where growth was considerably slower.
