Mermaid workers to vote on strike action
Fair Work Australia (FWA) has granted inshore employees of Mermaid Marine Vessel Operations (Mermaid) an order allowing them to vote for a protected industrial action.
“I was satisfied that the MUA has been, and is, genuinely trying to reach agreement with the employer whose employees are to be balloted,” said FWA commissioner Danny Cloghan, said in his finding.
