MISC returns to profit

Malaysian tanker giant MISC has returned to the black in the second quarter after two consecutive quarters of losses, posting a net profit of RM436.7m ($139.4m).
The gain also compares favourably to the profit of RM189.9m that the company posted in the second quarter of 2011.
Losses associated with MISC’s exit from the container line business have also diminished.
