New South Wales’ Environmental Protection Authority has halted a soil-shipping operation between Barangaroo and Port Kembla after asbestos was found in the product.

Panama-flagged bulk carrier CSL Pacific was unloading spoil material at Port Kembla yesterday when inspectors from the EPA and the Port Kembla Port Authority found pieces of bonded asbestos in the shipment.
