Rena hearing adjourned
Maritime New Zealand’s case against the owners of Rena over releasing a harmful substance into the sea has been adjourned to early October because lawyers from both sides need more time to prepare.
The Tauranga District Court, which was due to hear the case yesterday, has pushed back the court date to October 5—coincidentally the 12-month anniversary of the containership’s grounding.
