APL, Maersk land big US military contracts

Maersk Line and APL, the containership subsidiary of Singapore’s Neptune Orient Lines, have won lucrative contracts for international shipping of military cargo.

Maersk Line was the biggest winner, with a $2.1bn fixed-price contract described by  the US Department of Defence as “indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity” for international ocean and intermodal distribution services.
