Cargotec buys Asciano's automated wharf software

Global technology company Cargotec has acquired advanced software as well as 23 highly-skilled workers for the automation of straddle carriers from Asciano.

Cargotec described the deal as “a strategic step”.

“This acquisition supports Cargotec’s strategy to strengthen our position as a provider of integrated solutions,” company executive vice-president Olli Isotalo said.
