Fall in live animal export volumes
Live animal export volumes fell during the March quarter, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reports.

This trend was noted for both cattle and sheep the two prominent live animal export types.
“Live cattle exports in the March quarter 2012 decreased by 40% to 99,000 when compared with the previous quarter,” the ABS reported.
