Japanese shipowners join Panama toll hike fury
The Japanese Shipowners’ Association (JSA) has joined the growing chorus of Asian protests against Panama Canal Authority price hikes.
JSA is also claiming to have government backing for its anti-fees fight.
The move comes after the Asian Shipowners’ Forum last week wrote to canal chief executive Alberto Alemn Zubieta to express its deep concern about the toll increase.
