Record financial year for Port Hedland trade

Port Hedland Port Authority (PHPA) says it has “retained its title” as the operator of the world’s largest bulk export port.
A total throughput of 246.7m tonnes was recorded by PHPA for the 2011/12 financial year, ending June 30.
That outstripped the previous record – last financial year’s throughput tonnage of 199mt – by 23%.
