WA strikes will "compromise competitiveness"

Peak body, Ports Australia has warned that the strikes such as the one at Fremantle and Kwinana will compromise the competitiveness of Australian ports as economic conditions soften.

Bulk operations at the port authority’s Kwinana terminal have been drawn to a halt and delays up to 12 hours are affecting all shipping operations in Fremantle, according to Ken Fitzpatrick, chairman of Shipping Australia (SAL).
