BHP iron ore output up 21% in 2011-12
BHP Billiton’s Australian iron ore production from rose by over 25 million tonnes (mt) in the 2011-12 financial year, according to the company’s annual report released today.

BHP’s operations in Western Australia’s Pilbara region produced 148.1mt of iron ore in 2011-12, up 20.7% from the 2010-11 figure of 122.7mt.
