TT-Line Company Pty Ltd operates Spirit of Tasmania I and II between Devonport, Tasmania and Melbourne, Victoria, providing passenger and freight services.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the coordination of all in-port services (customer service, stevedoring and security) to ensure Company and legislative requirements are met.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide leadership to all staff involved in managing terminal services, stevedoring and security, and ensure operational and customer service levels are maintained at a high level, with particular emphasis on OH&S and security. You will have close contact with Port Security Committees, networks and enforcement agencies and be expected to broadly contribute to the ongoing development of the business. You will be required to achieve annual financial goals and maintain relevant reporting and advisory services.

Candidates must have previous experience in managing operations in a multi-site environment, with detailed knowledge of the transport and stevedoring industries and some exposure to industrial matters. A working knowledge of legislation, maritime and civil law is essential, as are proven leadership, organisational and communication skills and a commitment to customer service. A recognized and relevant qualification will be well received.
