Business Development Manager –
Marine Lubricants

TOTAL is seeking a Marine Business Development Manager who is responsible for selling TOTAL’s Marine Lubricants into the Shipping sector across Australia. You have a new business sales background in a similar environment – working in the Shipping Industry is essential – and can see yourself moving into a career opportunity where you help shape this new business and put it on the map! You are willing to travel interstate regularly to make this role a success and you will be based in Melbourne in our head office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building a detailed sales plan for the Marine Lubricants business
- Developing new business nationally for Marine Lubricants across the Shipping industry
- Managing the sales process and sales cycle – end to end
- Meeting sales targets and building a solid customer base
The successful applicant will come to us with:
- Marine industry sales experience, preferably in lubricants
- Knowledge, experience and contacts in the shipping industry in Australia
- Sales into the Power generation industry also an advantage
- Tertiary degree or similar, preferably in Engineering
- Great sales skills - ability to open doors and bring in new business; together with ability to manage and build on existing relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – can manage remote and local relationships effectively
