Lloyd's List hosted its inaugural Italian Shipping Awards at a gala dinner in Naples, Italy on Thursday 30th October 2008.
It was an event that testified to the success of the Italian shipping model with its emphasis on the family-owned operator, and the emergence of a new generation capable of adapting it to a changing world.
The 2nd Annual Lloyd's List Shipping Awards will be held in October 2009.
